About the Department

The Department is operated as an enterprise fund - all landfill users, are charged a tipping fee. The Household Availability Fee accounts for 41% of the total revenues.

Amount of Waste

The Department managed 218,578 tons of material in during the fiscal year of 2015-2016, including 189,861 tons landfilled and 28,718 tons recycled.
