Iredell County’s Jennings Park Closing
Iredell County Parks & Recreation Department will be closing Jennings Park at 141 Deitz Rd, Statesville, NC effective July 1, 2023. This closing will be due to the commencement of construction on the new state of the art park to be completed by Summer 2025.
The Iredell County Parks and Recreation Department is excited for this long awaited project to begin and will provide updates as the project progresses.

We are so proud & happy to announce that we have received a $500,000 Accessibility for Parks Grant from the Parks & Recreation Trust Fund towards the funding of a fully inclusive playground at Jennings Park! This multi-generational playground will be a wonderful addition to the gem that Jennings Park is set to become. The Iredell County Board of Commissioners have approved to match $100,000 of the grant, bringing the total funding for the playground to $600,000 as of today!
We would like to thank everyone who came out & voiced their support for this project at every stage of the process. The playground received so much public support & we can't wait to watch the families of Iredell County & beyond enjoy it for years to come!

Please join us for a public meeting to discuss the design and layout for a brand-new, Inclusive playground, to be located at Jennings Park. The County is seeking grant funding to go towards this new community amenity. The public meeting will be held on October 11 at 6pm, at the Ebenezer Volunteer Fire Department.
